it’s my last day to be 39. tomorrow, at exactly 4am i will be entering a new phase in my life. they say life begins at 40. i really don’t know if there is any truth to it but i will find out soon enough.
on this note. i bid this blog goodbye. i’m going back over to mind over muffins where i will continue what i started, back to trying out new strategies to reach my still elusive goal.
not that any of you take notice of me but i just like to end things well.
for the record, i am 160 lbs., 30 lbs shy of my current weight goal. i’ve lost about 20 lbs since i started in 2009 but i’m not calling myself a total failure even if i’m gonna fail my original deadline: tomorrow.
with that, upfront. i am happy where i am, with everything else in my life and i am not waiting till i lose the remaining 30 to enjoy myself.
so the strategies continue, and back to where i left off i go. here’s to never quitting. cheers to one and all!
dinner:
tuna straight from the can + tomatoes + just-picked but overly-nuked alugbati [a local spinach variety, i have a pot of it growing outside my kitchen]
drizzled with olio di olivo dressing and a squeeze of lemon
yes, i know, i’m into tuna these days.
brunch: tuna with the works + blanched cabbage with olio di olivo dressing. Yum!
and a glass of grape juice

breakfast: healthy all the way [canned yellowfin tuna, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, drizzled with lemon and sprinkled with a pinch of salt

dinner: healthy, well atleast 2/3 of the way =P [mcdonald’s chicken breast with gravy, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, drizzled with a small amount of japanese mayo]
lunch was salisbury steak, gravy and about 3 tbsps. mashed potatoes

1 tsp. chia seeds 30 minutes before breakfst
2-3 tsp. chia seeds before dinner
a friend swears she lost 3 lbs. in 2 weeks
her words…
amazing results and so safe
my research: chia seeds lowers blood sugar and cholesterol levels.
i’m overweight, probably diabetic, and i love pork. i started taking chia seeds tonight, will report results in about a week or 2. =D
Dear Kat,
I’ve been away for far too long. The weight has not budged, but thank goodness i have not gained more either.
being away does not mean that i’ve given up. Real life just got a little, a lot busier and blogging had to be put aside.
but i’m back, again, for the Nth time. and it’s nice to see that you are still here. =D
How are you? and how is the journey getting on?
let me know, i’ve missed you too. =D
especially to all 12 8 of you who have decided not to DITCH me just yet. =D
40 is just around the corner and I’m nowhere near my goal weight. :p Am swearing off rice, noodles, bread, and potatoes for now. fried eggs and this for breakfast: grape juice and a cup of old fashioned oats with a generous dollop of nutella to keep me interested. So shoot me. :p
i planned to do this. but did this instead:
monday - 35 minutes brisk walking [3.4k]
tuesday - 1 hour and a half of pilates
wednesday - 40 minutes brisk walking [3.4k]
thursday - 45 minutes brisk walking [about 4k]
friday - W2 W1 of C25K, 10 minutes brisk walking
saturday - rest day, malling with the kiddos
sunday - ab work out 30 minutes
hurrah for me! i feel good and happy and hope to do better next week. =D
